The Jefferson Township Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will take place in the Community Room of the Jefferson Township Fire Department, located at 6767 Havens Corners Road.
Several applications are on the agenda for consideration. Case No. VA25-020M involves Jonathan Howard, representing Jess Howard Electric Company, seeking a modification to a previously approved variance for 6266 Havens Road. The original variance, approved on October 7, 2025, allowed for the construction of a new single-family home that did not meet development standards. The current request aims to modify this approval.
Additionally, Case No. VA26-003 is an application filed by James Phieffer on behalf of property owners James and Laura Phieffer for 7863 Havens Road. This case requests a variance from Article V, Section 520.04 to permit a side yard that deviates from development standards for an existing single-family home, necessitated by a parcel split request.
Finally, Case No. VA26-004, filed by property owner Chad Shane for 5490 Clark State Road, seeks a variance from Article VIII, Section 820.01. This application pertains to the construction of a detached garage that does not meet established development standards.
Michelle Handley, Zoning Administrative Assistant, will be available to provide further information.
