**Special Weather Statement issued September 22 at 1:24AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC**

At 124 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles southwest of Brevard, or over Lake Toxaway, moving north at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... Rosman, Lake Toxaway, Gorges State Park, Lake Jocassee, Devils Fork State Park, Jocassee Gorges, Balsam Grove, Sapphire, Bad Creek, and Wolf Mountain.
