NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Pickens County Board of County Commissioners will conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed adoption of a new county ordinance concerning zoning regulations within unincorporated areas of Pickens County. The hearing will take place at the Pickens County Courthouse Annex, Conference Room A, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM. All interested parties are invited to attend and present their views and arguments for or against the proposed ordinance. Written comments will also be accepted and should be submitted to the County Administrator's office no later than 5:00 PM on April 22, 2024. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review during regular business hours at the Pickens County Courthouse Annex, Administrator's Office.

Pickens County Sheriff Attends State Association Conference

Annual Conference Each year the Alabama Sheriff’s Association holds an Annual Conference for all the Sheriffs in Alabama. This year the conference will be held at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama. Sheriff Todd Hall will be in attendance at the conference. This conference is a chance for all the sheriffs in the state to come together, attend training and discuss issues that are affecting each county and sheriffs' offices across the state. Sheriff Hall looks forward to this time each year to learn new information and bring it back to Pickens County to help serve the citizens better.
