NESHOBA COUNTY – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jackson, MS, has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Neshoba County, effective immediately as of October 9 at 3:56 PM CDT. The warning remains in effect until October 10 at 12:00 AM UTC.
Residents should prepare for moderate flooding from heavy rain. The NWS forecasts peak rainfall amounts around 1 inch, with significant impacts possible. This includes potential for several evacuations and rescues. Rivers and tributaries may quickly become swollen, causing localized overspills. Floodwaters may enter some structures, and driving conditions could become hazardous with some road closures. Heed all flood watches and warnings.
