Comment on Questions for Candidates: Garrison School Board
I have had the pleasure of serving on the Garrison school board since 2019 and have unique insight into what roles and responsibilities a trustee takes on when elected. With this knowledge, I will be casting my vote on May 19 for Ted A’Zary and Dan Jasnow.
I have had the pleasure of serving on the Garrison school board since 2019 and have unique insight into what roles and responsibilities a trustee takes on when elected. With this knowledge, I will be casting my vote on May 19 for Ted A’Zary and Dan Jasnow. I have known Ted for nearly a decade and he is thoughtful, measured and has a deep commitment to ensuring the highest quality educational experience for all Garrison students. He has volunteered over the years with the PTA and Board task forces, demonstrating his ability to serve his community. Dan, too, has demonstrated his commitment to community service — he has served as a Garrison school board trustee since 2023 and is our board president. Thanks to his service and leadership, the district continues to be recognized for its excellent educational opportunities, quality facilities improvements, and happy staff, teachers and students. I trust Ted and Dan will be excellent stewards of the district budget, will continue to enhance our students’ learning and our teachers’ professional development and will embrace strategies to strengthen our entire school community.
