Park Garden Parking Lot Reopens Memorial Day in Petoskey

The City of Petoskey will complete reconstruction of the Park Garden parking lot by Memorial Day weekend, the Department of Public Works announced May 1.

Crews are pouring concrete and have removed most of the old surface. Storm water infrastructure installation wraps up in early May, followed by grading and base layer placement. Paving begins mid-May, with markings, signage and pay station installation to follow. Landscaping and irrigation work are already underway.

The project includes new storm water drainage and repaved surfaces to improve traffic flow and parking organization. Residents and visitors should expect construction activity through late May.
