Rambo Memorial Health Center Air Conditioner Program We have limited air conditioners available each year for residents with a respiratory diagnosis and a prescription from their physician. Air conditioners are helpful to those who have breathing problems during hot and/or humid weather. This service is available after May 1st of each year. Residents are eligible who have not received one from us or Community Action in the last 3 years. Qualifications + Financial Assistance Program + Contact Us + TO QUALIFY YOU MUST: Be a Muskingum County Resident Have a respiratory diagnosis (sleep apnea is not valid for this program) Have a prescription from your health care provider stating: 1. Your diagnosis 2. That you would benefit from the use of an air conditioner Meet the Federal Poverty Guidelines of 200% or less TO APPLY YOU MUST: Visit us at 711 Main Stree between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM, Monday-Friday Bring proof of all income for everyone in the household (one of the following) W-2 forms Bank statements SSI statements, SSDI statements 1 month of paycheck stubs PLEASE BE AWARE: You must not have received an air conditioner from Rambo or from Community Action in the last 3 years Limit 1 per household per 3 year period Air conditioner units are 5000 BTUs, large enough for 1 small room. There is no remote control Air conditioners will be available for pick-up from Home Depot with completed application Our Programs Pulmonary Rehabilitation Our Respiratory Disease Management Program is designed to help you reduce the impact of respiratory illness. Respiratory Equipment Rambo Memorial Health Clinic can help individuals with home respiratory equipment. Clinic Physician Services If you are a Muskingum County resident with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, asthma, occupational lung disease, tuberculosis, a positive TB skin test or any other lung problem you can be seen by our physician. Medication Assistance The Medication Assistance Program is available for Muskingum County residents, who have a respiratory diagnosis. Stop Tobacco Our Stop Tobacco Program classes are available to assist individuals who wish to stop smoking, but need professional help and encouragement to achieve this goal. Air Conditioner We have limited air conditioners available each year for residents with a respiratory diagnosis and a prescription from their physician.
