Miami/Galbraith Roundabout Opens Early in Madeira, 90% Funded by ODOT Safety Grant

Staff Writer
May 13, 2026

In the Cincinnati suburb of Madeira, the intersection of Galbraith and Miami Avenue has reopened following the completion of a new roundabout. The City of Madeira and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) – Cincinnati District 8 announced the project's completion, which finished ahead of schedule.

ODOT managed the project and provided a Safety Grant covering 90% of the costs. Mayor Doug Moormann thanked ODOT for its financial support, stating the project addressed a dangerous intersection for both vehicles and pedestrians.

Crews will continue working in the area to finalize the project, but through traffic will be maintained. Drivers in this key corridor of the greater Cincinnati area should exercise caution and adjust to the new traffic pattern.
