Seven residence halls offer suite-style living and living-learning communities, designed to connect students to classes, events, and amenities. Argo Athletics is a significant part of campus culture, with student-athletes competing in various sports. The university's football team plays at PenAir Field.

The Office of Military Services supports ROTC students, veterans, and military families through leadership development and academic assistance. Argo Traditions, such as Argo Arrival and Homecoming, connect the campus community.

UWF emphasizes student well-being and safety, offering resources through Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Health Services, and the Dean of Students Office. Campus Police and a Campus Safety App contribute to a secure environment. Additional student services include campus dining, the University Bookstore, Student Accessibility Resources, and the Center for Child Development.
