The Pembroke Pines City Commission approved a potable water services agreement with property owners Luis A. Espinoza and Lita R. Calagua Solis. The agreement allows the city to provide water to a residential property at 14251 Mustang Trail in the Town of Southwest Ranches.
The commission formalized its approval through Resolution No. 2026-R-25, authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement. This allows Pembroke Pines to extend water services beyond its municipal boundaries, a provision supported by City Code of Ordinances Sections 50.1 through 50.4 and Florida Statute 180.19.
The Mustang Trail property is within Southwest Ranches' municipal boundaries. The Town of Southwest Ranches, which does not provide its own water services, authorized the arrangement through its approval of Resolution 2026-030. This inter-municipal agreement ensures the property owners can receive water from Pembroke Pines.
The resolution also directs the City Clerk to record the executed agreement and the resolution in the Official Records of Broward County. The agreement takes effect immediately upon passage and adoption by the City Commission.
