Pembroke Pines City Commission Approves Amended Housing Assistance Plan (2025-2028) for State Review

Pembroke Pines City Commissioners approved an amended Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) for fiscal years 2025-2028 at their meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The resolution, numbered 2026-R-23, passed following a public hearing held at the Bright Beginnings Day Care Center.

The amended LHAP allows city officials to execute necessary documents and certifications required by the State of Florida. The plan will now go to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for review and approval. The Public Notice for this LHAP Amendment was issued on August 16, 2026.

The Local Housing Assistance Plan outlines how Pembroke Pines utilizes funds from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program. These funds support various local housing programs designed to assist residents. The amendment specifically updates the plan for the 2025-2028 fiscal years.
