Staff Writer
June 12, 2026
More than 530 Pearl City Highlands Elementary School students performed hula for families last week during the school's annual ho'ike, filling the venue to capacity.
Students from prekindergarten through sixth grade danced with their grade levels. The program opened with students chanting the school oli and closed with the entire school singing "Hawai'i Aloha" while sixth graders accompanied on ukulele.
The PCHES Productions student media club filmed the performances. The full video is available on the school's YouTube channel.
