Virginia Frances Bushman, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Trevecca Center for Rehab & Healing. She was born September 11, 1950, in Frankfort, Indiana, to Richard E. Bushman Sr. and Violet M. Bushman.Virginia attended Frankfort Senior High School. She was of Christian faith. Virginia enjoyed children and worked in childcare at the Baptist Tot Center in Frankfort. She also loved babysitting and spoiling her nieces and nephews and her neighbor's grandchildren. Virginia had a very soft spot for all animals and especially loved her sweet little dog, Chloe. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, arts, crafts and painting.After moving to Nashville with her sister Judy, they took to the roads traveling together to many different states, enjoying the sites and making memories.Virginia is survived by her sisters, Judy Rister of Nashville, Tennessee, and Betty (Curt) Weaver of Frankfort, Indiana; aunts, Joyce Roller of Wyoming, Maryann Bushman of Indiana and Jean Bushman of Florida; nieces, Stephanie (Trey) Howland of Rosemary Beach, Florida, Janet Baber of Hermitage, Tennessee, Kylie (Branden) Harshbarger of Frankfort, Indiana; and nephew, Matthew (Anne) Woods of Kokomo, Indiana. Also great-nieces, Lily Howland, Ashlyn (Christian) Vega, Cheyenne Woods and Jeandra Martin; great-nephews, Aiden Baber, Nolan Baber, Hudson Howland and Blake (Jazza) Harshbarger; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Bushman Jr.Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, at Day & Genda Funeral Home from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm, with Pastor Ken Rushing officiating.
