A Pep Rally To Remember

The crowd applauded! Sunlake High School held its first pep rally of the school year and Jace Willson a Sophomore here at Sunlake had a blast. With a USA theme, bringing students together for games, music, and school spirit.

The crowd applauded! Sunlake High School held its first pep rally of the school year and Jace Willson a Sophomore here at Sunlake had a blast. With a USA theme, bringing students together for games, music, and school spirit. His favorite part of the pep rally was the wig game because he felt it had the most energy out of the rest of the games, he states ”He and his friends couldn’t stop laughing watching people fight to pull off each other’s wigs,” Jace said the game stood out from the other activities and helped keep the crowd excited. Jace Willson also said “The red, white, and blue sunglasses and the fluorescent glow sticks were some of the best parts of the USA-themed event” … “the accessories helped students get louder and added more energy when the lights went down.” Another part Willson enjoyed was having students separated by grade. Willson said, “By being separated into grade sections it allowed students to be around their friends and get their entire grade excited for the event.” This made it easier for each grade to show their own school spirit, and which grade should win the spirt stick based on the most spirted and loudest class. Even though Jace thought the pep rally was good overall, he said the Sophomore class could have brought more energy. Jace believes they should bring more energy to future pep rallies and is excited to see his grade get more hyped as they get older through their time at Sunlake. Overall, Willson said he enjoyed Sunlake’s first pep rally and thought the event was successful. With more pep rallies coming throughout the school year, Jace hopes that every pep rally can be this exciting and fun as the first ones!
