Panama City CRA & World Changers: 10 Years of Free Home Repairs
The Panama City Community Redevelopment Agency and World Changers have partnered for a decade to provide free exterior repairs to more than 100 homeowners in the Millville and Downtown North districts. Volunteer teams from across the country donate labor while the CRA funds materials for roof, siding, porch, and other exterior work that addresses safety concerns and reduces blight.
In March, volunteers completed repairs at the home of Irma Harrison in the Downtown North district. Hurricane Michael damage had left Harrison with expensive repairs she could not afford. "To get these repairs done was a blessing," Harrison said.
World Changers Executive Director David Flatt said the program's impact extends beyond home improvement. "You can fix somebody's house, and you change their world," Flatt said.
Homeowners in the Downtown North and Millville CRA districts can apply for the Summer 2026 program through May 31. Eligible properties must fall within designated CRA boundaries.
