"Kidfest is a 29-year-old family event filled with children’s activities, entertainment, food, and, most of all fun for the whole family. More than 100 area organizations and businesses set up various types of free activities for children of all ages, while numerous entertainers showcase their talents throughout the day. In the past years, approximately 5,000 people from Northwest Florida and South Alabama attended the event. Early Education and Care hosts this event each year with all proceeds benefiting the organization. Kidfest is EEC’s major community outreach. This event supports EEC’s programs, celebrates children, and enhances family involvement. Activity Booth Application If you or your organization would like to provide a free activity for the children please complete the form in the Activity Booth Application button. EEC keeps the admission cost and activities free, to give anyone at any income level the opportunity to attend. "The City of Callaway fiscal year begins on October 1st and ends on September 30th. Budget adoption follows a thorough review of the preliminary budget. After review by staff, the City Manager and the City's Finance Director, the City's Commission reviews the proposed budget during one or more workshop meetings. The preliminary budget is also available in the archives and the agenda Center on the City's website for review by the general public during September prior to its adoption. Commission adopts the budget in September after two public hearings, held pursuant to Florida Statute, which provide an opportunity for public comment. After adoption, portions of the budget may be amended during the fiscal year by Commission through formal Resolutions during Commission meetings.
