Panama City Beach Aquatic Center is located on the campus of Frank Brown Park in the heart of the Coastal Panhandle and a short 1.5 miles to the sugary white sand beaches of the Gulf. Surrounded by 169 acres of fields, lakes, trails, playgrounds, and pavilions, the Aquatic Center offers year-round aquatic training and event opportunities in our heated and cooled 50-meter pool and seasonal fun in our recently renovated 5,000 square foot Kid's Splash Pool! In addition to the 50-meter pool, the Aquatic facility boasts a number of amenities to enhance your experience: - Flexible practice schedules based on availability; priority consideration is offered to returning Teams - Ample parking, including bus parking - Large, climate controlled, well-appointed locker rooms - Plenty of grass, fields, and deck space for dry land training and equipment - An indoor classroom perfect for conducting video analysis, meetings, or meals on the go - 10 starting blocks - Water depths from 4 to 12 feet - 2 one-meter springboard diving boards - Short course and long course capability, based on availability Resources to Plan Your Trip! Schedules are typically available up to 12 months, or more, in advance of your proposed training dates and Teams are encouraged to secure your space early. For Teams interested in partnering with local organizations for Community Projects or if your Coaches and/or swimmers would like to offer the local Community specialized clinics or meet and greet opportunities, let us know! We love cooperative learning! Training Fees 25-yard Short Course Lanes: $8 per lane per hour 50-meter Long Course Lanes: $16 per lane per hour Indoor Classroom Rental: $40 per hour Athlete (1 practice / day): $5 Athlete (2 practices / day): $10 Scuba Diver: $16 per day Final rates and fees can only be confirmed with a completed and approved contract.

Statement from Police Chief on License Plate Readers • Panama City Beach, FL Skip to Main Content Home News Flash Statement from Police Chief on License Plate Readers News Flash Statement from Police Chief on License Plate Readers News & Updates Posted on September 01, 2026 With the recent decision by the Florida Department of Transportation regarding License Plate Reader cameras on state roadways, along with the changing environment surrounding this technology across Florida, the City of Panama City Beach Police Department will be suspending its use of the Flock Automated License Plate Reader system effective immediately. I believe the responsible course at this point is to suspend our use of LPRs until there is clear and consistent statewide guidance governing their use. LPR technology has been a valuable public safety tool for our department, assisting officers in locating wanted individuals, recovering stolen vehicles, finding missing persons, investigating serious crimes, and managing large-scale events. However, we understand the concerns that have been raised regarding privacy, data retention, information sharing, and the overall use of this technology. Those concerns deserve to be taken seriously. I do not believe protecting individual liberty and providing law enforcement with effective tools to protect our communities are mutually exclusive. We have a responsibility to do both, and any technology we use must meet that standard. PCBPD will work with Flock to coordinate the removal of cameras from our jurisdiction as quickly as practical. We ask for the public's patience while that process is completed. Some cameras may remain physically in place for a period of time; however, PCBPD's access to and use of the Flock system ends today. Residents Invited to Take Part in Panama City Beach Community Survey • Panama City Beach, FL The City of Panama City Beach is working with FlashVote to engage the community and gather valuable input from residents to help inform decisions as part of our strategic planning process. Residents interested in being a part of the upcoming Panama City Beach Community Survey may sign up at https://www.flashvote.com/pcbfl or call 775-235-2240 to participate by phone or text only. Sign up takes less than one minute and input is always kept anonymous. Personal or demographic information collected by FlashVote is never shared with the City or anyone else. When residents sign up, they can determine how the survey is received – whether by email, text or phone call. They will receive a notification whenever there is a new survey, and they will have 48 hours to participate before voting closes. Once a survey is closed, everyone who participated will automatically receive a summary of the overall results and be able to see how their responses compare to the group. Building & Planning Department

Building & Planning Department The Building and Planning Department is housed in the Public Services building and is comprised of Building, Planning and Code Enforcement. Building The Building Department administers the requirements of the Florida Building Code including plans review and site inspections and is staff to the Examining Board. The Department reviews, permits and inspects structures as small as a shed and as large as a high-rise condominium. Additional responsibilities include the issuance of addresses and the permitting of special events, temporary uses, signs and banners. For questions, please contact the Building Department. Planning The Planning Department implements the goals, objectives and policies of the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map through regulations found in the Land Development Code and the Zoning Map Series. Some of the Department's duties include review of site development plans, signs, variances, rezonings and annexations, monitoring the available capacity of public facilities, code enforcement, tree protection, turtle lighting enforcement, Planning Board and Tree Board administration, and recommending updates to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. Most of the activities involve overgrown vegetation, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles/trailers, deteriorated structures, foreclosed properties, green pools, signs, business licensing, and turtle lighting.
