Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) reminds parents and guardians to manage student cafeteria accounts through the PayPAMS online system. The platform, available at www.paypams.com, allows for easy payment and balance checks for school meals.

Existing PayPAMS users should log in to www.paypams.com to verify their credit or debit card information and ensure their registered email address is current. Those who have forgotten their password can use the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the homepage. For issues not resolved by the password reset, users can find support via the ‘Contact Us’ page on the website. MDCPS advises against creating a new account if a password is forgotten.

Any remaining balance in a student’s meal account automatically transfers to the next school year. If a student transfers schools within the district, the balance may take one to two days to fully transfer, potentially showing a $0.00 balance temporarily. MDCPS recommends making a payment if unsure of the current balance before the summer break concludes and students return to classes.

New users can sign up at www.paypams.com by clicking ‘Sign Up Now!’. The process includes selecting Florida, then Miami-Dade County Public Schools, creating a username and password, entering contact information, adding student(s), and making a payment. A $2.40 transaction fee applies to each payment made through PayPAMS. However, a $2.40 credit will be applied to the student’s account for cafeteria purchases when a payment of $40.00 or more is made.

Information regarding account balances and cafeteria purchases typically appears within one day of account setup or payment. Online payments reflect immediately on the PayPAMS site but require cafeteria confirmation to update the student’s balance. A confirmation number and email notification will be sent upon successful payment. If a payment is declined, users should verify their payment method details or contact their credit card company.

For refund requests, parents should email Jose Antigua at the Food and Nutrition Department at [email protected] or call 786-275-0409. Student cafeteria purchase history is visible on PayPAMS for 90 days. For questions about specific cafeteria purchases, contact the school’s cafeteria directly.
