Pinellas Contractors: Renew Licenses by Sept. 30 or Face Fees

Palm Harbor contractors must renew their annual County and Journeyman licenses by Sept. 30 through the Pinellas County Access Portal.

Failure to meet this deadline will result in late fees of up to $225 and penalties of at least $500 for operating with an expired registration.

Contractors must submit outstanding fine payments and updated insurance certificates online. Pinellas County will not process renewals by phone or email, and will never request payments via email, wire transfer or payment apps such as Zelle and Venmo.

Key renewal requirements include ensuring insurance certificates list the exact DBA name matching the official registration. The certificate holder address must be the Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board at 440 Court Street, 1st Floor, Clearwater, FL 33756.

Out-of-state workers’ compensation policies must state “Valid in Florida.” Waterfront contractors need valid USL&H insurance.
