New Season Offers Medication-Assisted Treatment in Cantonment Area
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) MAT is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Research shows that when treating opioid addiction, a combination of medication and behavioral therapies is more successful than either approach alone.MAT is primarily used for the treatment of opioid use disorders. The prescribed medication helps to normalize brain chemistry, block the euphoric effects of opioids, relieve physiological cravings, and normalize body functions without the negative effects of the abused drug. New Season uses a variety of FDA-approved medications as part of our MAT program, including: Methadone Buprenorphine (Suboxone®) Naltrexone (Vivitrol®) Our treatment centers also provide comprehensive care beyond medication, incorporating counseling and support services to address the underlying causes of addiction and promote long-term recovery.
