Grant Amato jailed for murder-for-hire plot in Florida
Grant Amato, serving a life sentence, remains incarcerated at Hardee Correctional Institution in Bowling Green, Florida. Authorities confirmed Amato's status in March 2026, recalling his involvement in a plot that surfaced last year.
In 2025, reports revealed Amato exchanged romantic and sexual text messages with Victoria Goodwin, wife of "Ghost Adventures" star Aaron Goodwin, using a smuggled phone. Goodwin disclosed plans to hire a hitman to murder her husband. Amato then contacted a hitman, and Goodwin paid the individual. The hitman did not carry out the murder for undisclosed reasons.
Authorities arrested and charged Victoria Goodwin for her role in the plot, and she received a prison sentence of three to eight years. No charges against Grant Amato related to this specific plot were reported at the time. Amato's continued imprisonment at Hardee Correctional Institution confirms his ongoing status within the state's correctional system, stemming from his original conviction.
