Palm Beach County residents can now save money on prescription medications with a new, free discount card program. The Palm Beach County/National Association of Counties (NACo) Prescription Discount Card, a partnership with Caremark, is available to all county residents regardless of income or age.

The program aims to help individuals and families manage rising healthcare costs, especially for those without prescription drug coverage. Even insured residents may find the card beneficial for prescriptions not covered by their current plans.

The card offers an average savings of 20% off the pharmacy's regular price for commonly prescribed medications. Users can also save an average of 50% on 3-month supplies of select generic drugs through mail service. The program extends savings to high-tech and injectable drugs via a specialty pharmacy.

No claim forms or annual fees are required. The card is accepted at more than 59,000 participating pharmacies nationwide, including 296 locations in Palm Beach County. Residents can obtain a printable discount card on the program's website or by calling 1-877-321-2652.
