Palatka Summer Internship Program 2024 | City Jobs

The City of Palatka is accepting applications for paid summer internships in local government.

Students will work in departments including the City Clerk's Office, Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation, the Municipal Airport, Police, Fire, Public Works, Human Resources, and Public Information. Duties range from administrative tasks like filing and data entry to event coordination and equipment operation.

The program pairs interns with city staff mentors and emphasizes hands-on projects that affect the community. Interns develop skills in communication, technology, and leadership while exploring careers in public administration, urban planning, and environmental conservation.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or college and able to work flexible summer hours. The position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds and perform various physical tasks including walking, standing, driving, and equipment operation.
