Residents in Esmeralda, Central Nye, Lincoln, Western Clark, and Southern Nye Counties are advised to secure outdoor objects and use caution while driving. The National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas has issued a Wind Advisory effective from 2 PM PDT Saturday, October 10, until 5 AM PDT Monday, October 12.

South winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts between 45 and 55 mph. These strong winds can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The NWS also warns that tree limbs could be blown down, and isolated power outages are possible.

A temporary lull in winds is anticipated from late Saturday night through Sunday morning, with winds expected to increase again Sunday afternoon. Review and secure any loose outdoor items now to prevent potential damage. Exercise extra caution if traveling during this period.
