This is a great opportunity to protect your personal information and contribute to a safer community. Details: Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024 Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Location: Oakland Park City Hall, 300 NW 36th Street, Oakland Park, FL 33309 Shred-A-Thon: Safely dispose of your sensitive documents, such as old bank statements, credit card offers, and medical records. Protect yourself from identity theft by shredding documents that contain personal information. Operation Medicine Cabinet: Safely dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications. This helps prevent accidental poisoning and reduces the potential for drug abuse. Please do not flush medications down the toilet or throw them in the trash. Guidelines: For Shred-A-Thon: Limit of 5 boxes or bags per vehicle. Please remove binders and metal clips. Staples are okay. For Operation Medicine Cabinet: Accepted items include prescription medications (pills and patches), over-the-counter medications, and empty pill containers. Unaccepted items include needles, sharps, and thermometers. Please remove personal information from labels before dropping off medication. This is a free community event.
