Eagles Soar Past Commanders, 34-24
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders 34-24. Jalen Hurts completed 29 of 38 passes for 319 yards and one touchdown, also rushing for two touchdowns.
DeVonta Smith led all receivers with 130 yards on seven catches. D'Andre Swift added 56 rushing yards on 14 carries for the Eagles.
For the Commanders, Sam Howell passed for 388 yards and two touchdowns, but was sacked four times. Terry McLaurin recorded eight receptions for 86 yards.
Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 59 yards and one touchdown for Washington. The Eagles improved to 7-1, extending their lead in the NFC East. The Commanders fell to 3-5 after the loss.
