KISSIMMEE – The Kissimmee community is remembering Jonathan Alexander Novak, known affectionately as John, John Boy, Novak, and JB, who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 26. Novak, a Haines City resident, was born in Orlando on April 17, 2000, to Michelle D. Novak.

Novak attended Poinciana High School and Valencia College, where he built many friendships. Friends and family describe him as hardworking, intelligent, compassionate, and charismatic, with a goofy personality and quick sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. He was known for his loyalty and for turning friends into family.

He enjoyed his work at First Watch and spent his free time playing pickleball at Crush Yard, visiting the range, collecting Funko Pops, listening to music, and watching his favorite movies, including Marvel, Spider-Man, Transformers, and Harry Potter. Novak treasured date nights with his fiancée, Ashley Ivana Cornejo, and loved spending time with his five dogs: Mimi, Mia, Mocha, Nova, and Nala.

Novak is survived by his fiancée, Ashley Ivana Cornejo; his mother, Michelle D. Novak; brothers Anthony Mason, Colin Novak, Gianni Pichardo, and Sean Novak; sister Destiana Pichardo; uncle Aaron Novak; aunt Lisa Novak; and his grandfather, John Novak. He also leaves behind nephews Josiah Pichardo, Elyohn Pichardo, Azriehl Pichardo, Noah Mason, Ezekiel Mason, Marcus Mason, Levi Francois, and Yexiel Novak, as well as nieces Rosa Mason and Yarielys Novak. The Cornejo and Francois Families, along with his beloved dogs, also cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his Nana, June Novak, and Godmother, Denise Young.

A visitation and services to honor and celebrate Novak’s life were held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home in Kissimmee. The visitation took place from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., with services following at 3:00 P.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel. Pastor Agustin Lopez of Harvest Church officiated the service.
