Madison Finds Independence at Quest Village Orlando
Madison moved into Quest Village, an Orlando residential community operated by Quest, Inc., less than a year ago and found both belonging and independence.
Diagnosed with ADHD in second grade and autism in fourth grade, Madison struggled with social connections and felt out of place. She reframed her diagnoses as strengths rather than limitations. She graduated with a standard high school diploma, earned a culinary degree, and published a book titled "My Story."
At Quest Village, Madison uses the fitness center and art room, shops independently, and attends movie nights and karaoke with residents. Jakira Gammons, a community support coach, said Madison "knows no strangers and brings sunshine on the cloudiest day."
"We can't always be afraid of life. We have to grab the bull by the horns," Madison wrote in her book.
