Kenneth 'Blue' Lovins, 86, Honored for Outdoor Passion in Winston, GA

Kenneth “Blue” Lovins, 86, of Winston, Georgia, known for his passion for the outdoors and craftsmanship, died Oct. 2. Services will be held Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 in Douglasville.

Kenneth “Blue” Lovins, 86, of Winston, Georgia, died Oct. 2, 2026. Born in Atlanta on May 6, 1940, Lovins was known for his love of the outdoors, his craftsmanship and his humor.

Lovins enjoyed taxidermy and woodworking. He especially crafted walking sticks and shared this skill. An avid hunter, he pursued deer and turkey.

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Whitley-Garner at Rose Haven Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prays Mill Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglasville.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Kim L. Lovins; niece, Cindy (Brian) Gilbert; great-nieces, Deanna (Bryce) Cobb and Alyssa Jewell Gilbert; and daughter-in-law, Melisa Todd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence A. Lovins and Jewell O. Lovins; his son, Ashley “Ash” Kenneth Lovins; and several siblings.
