Eatonville Trash & Recycling: Collection Details & Guidelines

Eatonville residents will follow specific guidelines for trash, recycling and yard waste collection managed by Waste Connections. Collection days and requirements vary for each waste type.

Trash collection for residents using the town-provided 95-gallon wheeled cart is on Tuesdays. Only materials fitting within this cart will be collected. Recycling collection for those with an 18-gallon bin is on Wednesdays, with limits to what fits inside the bin. Both trash and recycling containers must be curbside by 6 a.m. on the service day or the night before.

Residents may request additional trash containers for a monthly fee. Contact the Town of Eatonville for details and rates.

Yard waste collection also occurs on Wednesdays. Limits apply to 3 cubic yards, equivalent to about 10 lawn bags or a space 4 feet long by 4 feet wide by 5 feet high. Small debris, such as leaves, grass clippings and small branches, should be bagged or placed in containers. Larger yard waste, up to 4 feet in length and weighing 50 pounds or less per bundle, can be tied and bundled. The town accepts normal yard waste, excluding large tree stumps or branches exceeding 6 inches in diameter. Yard waste must be curbside by 6 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Bulk item collection is also on Wednesdays. Similar to yard waste, bulk items are capped at 3 cubic yards and must be placed at least 3 feet from the curb. Refrigeration units require Freon removal before collection. Items exceeding the 3 cubic yard limit can be picked up for an additional fee. Residents should have bulk items ready by 6 a.m. on Wednesdays, or the night before.
