APOPKA – Beginning March 1, 2025, the City of Apopka will charge $75 for lien searches, an increase from the previous $35 fee. The City Council adopted an ordinance on February 19, 2025, amending service fees for lien search requests.

Ordinance No. 3097 aims to address the rising volume of lien search requests handled by the City Clerk's office. The $35 fee had been in place since 2010, prior to the city's significant growth. The updated fee will help the office provide better service and timely results.

A lien search identifies unpaid violations, fines, fees, or charges associated with a property, along with any open or expired building permits. The City Clerk's office coordinates these searches across departments.

Requests for updates more than 14 days after the initial search completion will incur the full $75 fee as a new request. However, verbal final payoffs for utility accounts requested within 14 days of the initial search will have no additional charge.

Apopka offers online portals for public records beyond lien searches. Permitting information is available on the OpenGov portal, and GIS maps can be found in the Apopka Map Gallery. City agendas and other content are accessible via the website's search page and Agenda Portal.
