Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg recently hosted a Donor Appreciation Reception in Inglenook Commons to celebrate the generosity of residents, team members, family and friends. The event recognized contributions made throughout 2025 that supported community programs, services and improvements.

Dan Davis, President and CEO of Presbyterian Senior Living, welcomed guests and highlighted the legacy of philanthropy that began with founder Ellen Parker nearly a century ago. Davis emphasized that every gift supports the mission. "That single act of philanthropy set in motion a mission that has touched countless lives for nearly a century. And it continues today for one simple reason: people like you," Davis said. He added that 100% of donor contributions support their intended purpose, helping to build community and promote well-being.

Bethanie Constant, Vice President of Mission Support, detailed the impact of donor generosity. In 2025, the Resident Assistance Fund provided more than $318,000 to eight residents at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg for housing, meals and healthcare expenses. Presbyterian Senior Living also allocated over $2.3 million to cover the difference between care costs and medical assistance reimbursement rates for 47 residents.

Donors also supported team members facing hardships. The Team Member Assistance Fund distributed $2,750 in grants to four team members for crises including medical emergencies, accidents and funeral expenses.

Overall, contributions to Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg in 2025 from residents, family members, friends and team members exceeded $191,000.

The reception included remarks from donor and board member Terry Goldstein. Executive Director Heather Loucks acknowledged the $10,625 contributed by team members in 2025 and thanked campaign leaders Sherry Baker and Leigh Ann McMullen.
