Oregon WIC Approved Foods Effective July 1st, 2025 Click on the Food List images or links below to view or download the Oregon WIC Food List. *Printed copies of the English and Spanish Food Lists are available. Contact your local WIC clinic to request a copy. Due to the number of images, they are large files and may take a few minutes to download and open. Common WIC Foods (visual teaching tool, available online only): English Which brands are eligible? Oregon WIC has authorized specific brands of: Adult cereals, fortified with iron and folic acid. At least 75% of the authorized cereals are whole grain. Corn tortillas Corn meal & masa flour Whole wheat tortillas Whole wheat pasta Whole wheat pita and naan Gluten free whole grain breads Yogurt Soy and plant beverage Tofu Nut and seed butters Sardines 100% fruit juices rich in Vitamin C Iron fortified infant formulas Infant cereals Baby food fruits and vegetables and meats We also authorize most brands of... Fresh, frozen and canned fruits & vegetables Herbs (Herb clarification PDF) Bagged whole grains: Amaranth, Black/brown/red/wild rice, Buckwheat, Bulger, Kamut, Millet, Quinoa, Sorghum, Teff, Wheat berries 100% whole wheat bread products Milk, eggs, cheese, peanut butter, dry and canned beans, canned tuna and salmon Special infant formulas and certain medical foods may also be provided when prescribed by a physician or health professional for a specified medical condition. How WIC foods are chosen WIC provides foods to supplement the diets of pregnant & breastfeeding women, and infants & children under 5 years of age. The foods in a food package are based on federal regulations and are in alignment with the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the infant feeding guidelines of American Academy of Pediatrics. The foods selected for the Oregon WIC Food List were chosen based on several factors, such as: Meets federal regulations Nutritional value Promotes good nutrition Acceptable to WIC participants Available across the state Cost
