TRAINING OPPORTUNITY ONLY *This Does Not guarantee employment The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office is Currently accepting applications for the “Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program”. The role of a Guardian is to serve as the Safety Officer on School Campuses. Applicants will be skillfully trained in the use of firearms, defensive tactics, active shooter and single officer response to threats, diversity and legal aspects of the Guardian program. Guardian applications may be picked up from the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office front desk receptionist at 339 East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm. Interested applicants must be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and hold a valid driver’s license. If you are a convicted felon you are not eligible for this training! All applicants will be required to have or obtain a concealed weapons permit. Applicants will also be subjected to a thorough background which includes an interview, drug screening, criminal history check, Psychological Exam, and a Physical Abilities Test. Applications must be completed and returned to Human Resources by Thursday July 13 2023 @ 5PM.
