The Lee County Health Department is reminding residents to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

The Lee County Health Department is reminding residents to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus. Residents are urged to use insect repellent containing DEET, wear long sleeves and pants, especially during dawn and dusk, and eliminate standing water around their homes.
