The City of Altamonte Springs has a long baseball tradition. The youth program began in the early 1970s in association with Little League Baseball and then joined Babe Ruth Baseball in 1994. Over the years, the program has seen great success providing thousands of kids the opportunity to play baseball and sending teams to state and national tournaments.

Today, Altamonte Springs Babe Ruth Baseball is part of the Altamonte Baseball Academy (ABA), where attention to fundamentals and fine-tuning are the core principles.
