Eatonville residents interested in preserving and sharing the town's history can now apply for the Historic Marker Task Force. The Town of Eatonville, in partnership with the National Park Service, formed the task force to review, update, and expand the town's historic markers and enhance the Eatonville Heritage Trail visitor experience.
The task force will provide guidance and recommendations on the content of historic markers, ensuring they accurately reflect Eatonville's lived history, community memory, cultural identity, and the perspectives of long-standing residents. The initiative aims to highlight the town's significant cultural, historical, and educational resources through an accurate, inclusive, and community-informed interpretive approach.
