Beijing suggests a potential restoration of certain trade privileges for Hong Kong. The United States previously extended these privileges to Hong Kong. This consideration emerged two months after President Donald Trump conducted a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Analysts note the meeting may have contributed to improved relations between the two nations. President Xi Jinping plans an upcoming visit to the United States.
