Two Motorcyclists Arrested After Brandon Traffic Stop Flee

Staff Writer
June 16, 2026
Two motorcyclists arrested after fleeing traffic stop in Brandon

Christopher Cruzcolon, 30, and Megan Lynne Bateman, 35, were arrested June 13 after fleeing a traffic stop on their motorcycles in the Brandon area.

Cruzcolon abandoned his motorcycle and ran through a storage facility before deputies caught him. Bateman continued fleeing until a train blocked her path, then ran along railroad tracks before falling into bushes where deputies apprehended her.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit tracked both riders from above while ground units pursued, maintaining visual contact without engaging in a high-speed chase on roadways.

Both suspects face charges related to fleeing law enforcement. No injuries were reported.
