Gulliver Preparatory School named Vic Garcia, Class of 2008, its first Alumni Creative Partner. The new role connects students with accomplished alumni to bridge classroom learning with real-world application in Coral Gables.

Garcia, a creative entrepreneur, has generational ties to Gulliver. His sister is an alumna, and his nieces and nephews are current students or alumni. The school honored him with the Raider Spirit Award last year for his commitment.

“Gulliver has been part of my life and my family for generations, so coming back in this way means a lot to me,” Garcia said. “I’m excited to spend time with students, hear their ideas, share what I’ve learned along the way, and hopefully encourage them to take their own creativity seriously.”

Throughout the academic year, Garcia will collaborate with students and faculty across all divisions. Initiatives include a Lunch & Learn series during Homecoming & Legacy Week and participation in Art Walk. He will also connect the school with Miami’s creative community. A Centennial merchandise collection, designed by Garcia for the Diaz and De Las Cuevas-Diaz Family Spirit Store, will debut at Art Walk on November 14, 2026.

The partnership aims to build an expanded network of alumni and friends contributing to the school’s educational environment and strengthening its roots in Coral Gables. Gulliver anticipates the collaboration will inspire new creative endeavors and enhance connections between past and present students.
