Beacon College Prep Welcomes Students Back for New Academic Year, Hosts Meet & Greet for Young Learners

Opa Locka's Beacon College Prep welcomed students back for the new academic year, which officially began on Thursday, August 13. Before classes started, the school hosted a Meet and Greet for its youngest learners.

The kindergarten and first-grade Meet and Greet took place on campus on August 11, running from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event allowed new students and their families to familiarize themselves with the school environment ahead of the first day.

For the academic year, students are permitted to arrive at school as early as 6:45 a.m. each day. Dismissal times vary by grade level to manage traffic flow and ensure student safety.

Kindergarten and first-grade students dismiss between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Second and third-grade students have a later dismissal window, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Wednesdays operate on an early dismissal schedule for all students from Kindergarten through Grade 5. On these days, dismissal occurs between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Beacon College Prep's new academic year is now well underway, with students settled into their daily routines and learning environments.
