Dense Fog Advisory for Chenango, Otsego, and Delaware Counties

Drivers in Chenango, Otsego, and Delaware counties should exercise extreme caution this morning due to areas of dense fog. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Binghamton, NY, has issued a Special Weather Statement, effective immediately until 8:00 AM UTC (4:00 AM EDT).
Visibility has been reduced to a half-mile or less in affected areas, including portions of I-88. These conditions are creating hazardous driving.
If you encounter dense fog while driving, the NWS advises slowing down, using your low-beam headlights, and maintaining a generous distance between your vehicle and others. The fog is expected to dissipate by approximately 9:00 AM EDT.
