Oldsmar Sauna Recall: 41,580 Units for Burn & Fire Hazard

Oldsmar residents who own certain sauna models should inspect their units following a recall of 41,580 saunas in the U.S. and 6,758 in Canada. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued the recall due to a potential short-circuiting issue with infrared panels that can cause overheating, burns, or fires.

The recall affects numerous brands and models sold nationwide at stores including Costco and online, as well as through pool and spa dealerships. These saunas were available from May 2013 to July 2026 and cost between $6,000 and $13,000.

The CPSC has received 67 reports of saunas overheating, melting, charring, or burning. No injuries have been reported.

Additionally, some custom or semi-custom models under the Finnleo, Saunatec, Tylo, Helo, Amerec, and Tylohelo brands with identifiers like Carbonflex, Saunalogic, Infralogic, Aspire, and Bliss are included.

Owners of affected saunas must stop using them immediately. To identify a recalled sauna, check the brand on the front frame panel, control panel, product manual, or handle. The serial number is typically located under the lower bench or on the wall beneath the upper bench. Owners can submit this information to Sauna360 for verification.
