Oldsmar residents who purchased Pacearth U-type swing seats should check their equipment immediately. A nationwide recall affects over 110,000 units due to a potential breaking hazard.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall for U-type swing seats, carabiners, quick links, and webbing straps sold by Pacearth Direct. These components can break, posing a fall risk and potential for serious injury.

The affected swing seats were sold on Amazon between May 2017 and June 2026 in various colors. They featured a distinctive yellow-coated chain and were available as single swings or in packs of two, priced between $27 and $57.

At least 30 incidents of falls have occurred, resulting in nine reported injuries including fractures, head injuries and bruising. Consumers should stop using the recalled swings immediately.

To receive a refund, consumers must contact Pacearth Direct. Customers need to submit a photo via email showing the word “RECALLED” written in permanent marker on the swing seat, along with the company’s logo. Further information is available by emailing the company directly.
