Knicks' Jalen Brunson to Guest Star on SVU

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson will make a guest appearance on NBC's 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.' The role on the show's 28th season stems partly from a developing friendship between Brunson and 'SVU' star Mariska Hargitay, a devoted Knicks fan.

Hargitay attended numerous games during the Knicks' playoff run in June, which culminated in the team's first championship in 53 years. Following the victory, Brunson humorously responded to questions about his offseason plans by saying, "Try to get on SVU." The show's official Instagram account confirmed the news, posting, "When the plans finally make it out of the group chat. Jalen Brunson is officially headed to #SVU!"

Brunson is scheduled to appear in an episode airing November 5. The specifics of his character remain undisclosed. This appearance follows Brunson's participation with Hargitay in the opening segment of the 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Hargitay. Brunson is also slated to host the season 52 premiere of 'Saturday Night Live' on September 26.
