Pinellas County Opens Alcohol and Drug Abuse Grant Applications

Pinellas County and the Substance Abuse Advisory Board are accepting applications for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Trust Fund grant. Nonprofit organizations providing substance abuse treatment and prevention programs can apply for awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 for the 2026-27 fiscal year. The total funding available is $35,000.

To qualify, organizations must hold a Florida license as a substance abuse treatment provider under Chapter 397 of the Florida Statutes and maintain at least one client-accessible office or service location in Pinellas County. Applicants must submit a copy of their license with their application.

Grants fund one-time, non-recurring expenditures including equipment, special projects, training, facility renovations, and prevention activities within Pinellas County. Funds cannot pay for food and beverage costs. The project period extends through Sept. 30, 2027.

Applications are due Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. Organizations can find the full solicitation and application instructions on the Pinellas County Human Services grant portal.
