Odessa to Hold Public Hearing on $34 Million Public Works Projects
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council (the “City Council”) of the City of Odessa, Texas (the “City”) intends to issue certificates of obligation in one or more series, in the maximum aggregate principal amount not to exceed $34,000,000 for the purpose of paying for all or a portion of the City’s (i) street improvements; (ii) park improvements; (iii) facility improvements; and (iv) water system improvements, and to pay related costs of issuance (collectively, the “Project”). The City Council proposes to authorize the issuance of such certificates of obligation and to provide for the payment thereof from the levy and collection of ad valorem taxes as provided by law and from a pledge of the Net Revenues of the City’s Waterworks and Sewer System. The City Council will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on April 9, 2024, at the City Hall Council Chamber, 411 W. 8th Street, Odessa, Texas, to receive comments and consider passage of an ordinance authorizing the certificates of obligation.
