Out-of-School Suspension Programs Programming Options for Students Serving Out-of-School Suspension Students assigned to Out-of-School Suspension have the opportunity to participate in programming designed to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs. The Student Services Department provides a variety of options for students serving an Out-of-School Suspension. Students cannot be denied the opportunity to complete assignments for credit during their suspension. • Apex Learning Virtual Program through the student’s school of enrollment. (All Grade Levels) • Saturday Alternative Program at the Port St. Lucie High School – Referral from Student’s School (All Grade Levels) • In-House Suspension at Student’s School of Enrollment (Alternative Program) • Community Service Hours – (High School Students Only) • Check and Connect with an assigned mentor with the goal of developing a trusting relationship that provides ongoing support to keep students engaged with school.
