Broward Courts Closed Sept. 21 for Yom Kippur

Broward County court facilities will close Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, for Yom Kippur.

The closure includes the main courthouse in Fort Lauderdale and regional courthouses in Deerfield Beach, Hollywood and Plantation. The 17th Judicial Circuit announced the closure, which will halt daily court operations.

Residents with hearings or court appearances scheduled for Sept. 21 should contact the court clerk's office or legal counsel to reschedule.

The court system resumes its regular schedule Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026.
