Job Opportunity OPERATIONS CONSULTANT - 42005298 Where the work is performed: Lake City How to apply: Apply online at People First Description: An Operations Consultant position is available with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, located in Lake City, Florida. Duties include, but are not limited to: This is a highly responsible position performing a variety of duties related to the inspections of gasoline stations and petroleum storage tank facilities. Duties include reviewing inspection reports for accuracy and completeness; ensuring inspections comply with applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures; following up on enforcement cases; providing technical assistance to field staff; and reviewing facility files to determine compliance with applicable laws and rules. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures. • Ability to analyze and interpret data. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to use a computer and related software. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to storage tank systems and petroleum dispensing facilities. Minimum Requirements: • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or • Four years of related experience; or • A combination of college education and related experience equivalent to four years. • Valid driver license.
